What I'm Doing Now

I first heard about the concept of a "Now" page from Derek Sivers in an interview with Tim Ferriss where he described his "Now" page. I found the idea fascinating, the idea is that it should answer the question "What do you have going on now?". If you feel inspired to create a "Now" page like I did you can find more information here.

University and Master's Thesis

I have finished slightly more than half of my master's degree in management and economics of innovation at Chalmers now. This means I have begun looking at where and about what I want to write my master's thesis this fall. I will be doing the master's thesis with my friend Jens who also took a semester break for an internship. I think it is hard to decide exactly what topic to write about but currently, I feel fascinated by intrapreneurship and the process of creating innovation in large established companies. Other topics I have thought about are pricing, especially focusing on how companies price their products and what inefficiencies there might be. Finally, circularity, with a specific focus on how to build sustainable business models around circular business ideas could be interesting.

Applying For Summer Internships/Jobs

I am in the process of applying for and interviewing for jobs this summer. It is always more time-consuming than I think at first, but at this point, I have built some routines for the process and always keep my resume up to date so that I am ready. Feels like we are moving into a tougher economic climate as the positions listed feel a bit more limited than normal. I am applying to a variety of roles both within consulting and positions in industries with a focus on strategy and/or innovation where possible. It is also the last summer before I graduate which feels crazy, time has flown.

Staying Consistent in Fitness

My goal when coming back to Sweden from Switzerland was to keep my fitness habits consistent and that is something I have managed quite well. On average I am doing some form of exercise 3-4 times a week while also trying to get 10,000 steps every day. Somewhat recently I hit a milestone of benching 100 kg for the first time which felt good. I am also trying to mix in a session of sports each week, recently it has mostly been badminton which I find highly enjoyable.

I hope you enjoyed reading about what I am up to now.
