What I'm Doing Now

I first heard about the concept of a "Now" page from Derek Sivers in an interview with Tim Ferriss where he described his "Now" page. I found the idea fascinating, the idea is that it should answer the question "What do you have going on now?". My first year of working at Soundtrap

As October comes to an end I will have been working at Soundtrap for almost 10 months. I started here in Stockholm on January the 13th, right after presenting my master's thesis. Soundtrap is a music-tech firm where I work as a data scientist within the Insights team. My job consists of many diverese data related tasks; I help the product team run experiment with A/B-testing, I maintain and set up dbt pipelines for BigQuery, and I help the marketing team to improve targeting of campaigns with the help of data. All-in-all my role is a bit of a Swiss knife working with data, doing some data science, data engineering, analytics and other strategic work as well. Throughout the year I have learnt tons, met great colleagues and generally had a great first year in my career.

2025 - A year full of change

The year started with me graduating university after 5 years and entering the work force. The fact that I started a job in Stockholm also meant moving to a different city and a new apartment. In the beginning of the year I also broke up with my long-term girlfriend and found myself somewhat alone in a new city. These things have all been challenging while also presenting new opportunities.

Generally 2025 has been a year of trying new things, saying yes, figuring what it is I want from life and having fun along the way. The year has contained many adventures such as roadtripping to the Dolomites, graduating from Unitech in Lyon, and having many great weekends with friends visiting Stockholm. I also have a newfound interest in running and distance sports, I bought a road bike and found my way back to football after almost 8 years. With the year beginning to come to an end I am gearing up for a 4-week trip to Colombia with a friend but also preparing to set myself up for success in 2026.
